P&O Silverplated Ice Bucket by Mappin & Webb 1947 Date Code - Etched P&O Logo

Description

P&O Line - A large silverplated ice bucket stamped with a date code of 1947.
The ice bucket stand 8.5" tall and has a diameter of 7.5". Knob handles provide support. The P&O rope logo topped by a sunrise is etched onto one side. Stamped into the bottom is the manufacturer, Mappin & Webb, and an "A" in a shield. The latter indicates a date of 1947, just in time for P&O's first postwar liner, HIMALAYA.
Good-to-very-good condition with small dents and dings indicating many years of faithful service.
