The K-Free board by RRD allows the rider to cross the barrier between racing and freeride. It is a fast board which can be used in competitions, but it is also user friendly and not as demanding as a pure racing board. A key feature of this board is its amazing lightwind performance.
As the RRD team says, it is less physical on your legs and easier to ride compared to a Racing Kite board. The K-Free is thinner and narrower and it uses smaller fins. This makes it suitable for virtually any rider accustomed to riding directional boards. A diamond shaped tail allows the release of tail pressures on the water when cruising downwind at higher speeds.
The fin positions assure excellent planing performance even in marginal wind conditions. At the same time this feature makes the board easy to handle and very stable if the wind picks up. The tri fin setup makes the board fast and also easier to ride upwind or downwind. The wider nose, combined with the narrower tail outline, allows the rider perform cool tacks and jibes without effort. The entire board shape is optimized to ensure flawless control and maneuverability.
The RRD K-Free is perfect for cruising around in light winds, ride fast or compete in recreational races or enjoy a cool freeride session. The board is crafted using a custom made full wood top and bottom sandwich, a bi-axial glass fibers deck and double sandwich reinforcements under heel and stepping area.
