Green Duck Company

The Green Duck Company was established in 1906 located in Chicago, IL.
Green Duck Co. began as a producer of promotional items like buttons, pins, military metals, emblems,
metal signs, foam scrappers, and ball tap knobs just to name a few.
Of all the companies that have produced metal buttons and other novelty devices,
few have equaled the contributions of the Green Duck Metal Stamping Company.
Founded in Chicago in 1906, Green Duck created many of the most iconic buttons, clickers, and other giveaways
that have defined American culture.
In 1936 the United States government began to mandate breweries and the establishments
that served there products of beer, ale, lager and porter by forcing taverns, hotels,
and distributors to mark what products were on tap that they were selling to patrons.
So in 1936, Green Duck Company began producing beer ball tap marker knobs for various breweries
across the country. Green Duck Tap Knobs were some of the very first ball tap knob designs
produced that actually stuck.

Condition:
Overall the cigar cutter seems to be in nice condition, considering its age.
There is some wear, consistent with age.
All of the written information on the promotional item is visible.
One side reads, "Rennen Terrazzo Mosaic Co. Chicago".
The opposite side reads, "Service and Quality Guaranteed".
The spine reads, "Green Duck Co. Chicago Pat Feb 19 '24 Pat Pend".
